Due to failing health, Joseph J. Basile was removed from his home to his step daughters’s home. She is co-trustee of his and her mothers’s revocable Trust. To make the many decisions to be made, an immediate durable power of attorney was conferred by Attorney Matteson, to the co-trustee. Without that POA, Joe’s city retirement system refused to accept the change of address. The POA is also needed to rent or lease his house out with the re-modeling required.
